Abstract:
In the last twenty years the teaching body of Italian universities has been subject
to deep changes, both qualitative and quantitative. The paper analyzes the evolution of
permanent and temporary university recruiting and evaluate its impact on the composition of the teaching community, with respect to academic position, disciplinary group,
gender and geographic location.
